Technical innovation changes the equation of small wind turbines
Elegant design, aerodynamic hull that accelerates the cross air flow, two contra rotating variable speed controlled rotors so as to maximize the energy production
A revolutionary design and technology

A patented hull
The exterior shape of the hull and its spoiler increase the speed of internal air flow, creating a sub pressure at the backside of the system.
This is the same principle as a boat, the design allows it to move faster than the wind. For a wind speed of 6 m / s is achieved and 15 m / s before the second rotor inside the hull.
Controlled turbines
The two rotors work in contra rotating way and at variable speed. They are designed to ensure an undisturbed flow of air, thus improving productivity.
Their operation is controlled by an electronic system maximizing the instantaneous extracted power for a given wind speed.
Optimal operation
The wind speed measured by an anemometer, and the torque transmitted to the blades by the airflow are analyzed continuously.
Light wind: if the transmitted torque sets the TurboWind Elena in an electrical energy production cycle, a speed boost for the first rotor allows the rotational start of the second rotor. This device allows production to begin sooner than traditional wind.
In an intermediary situation: the first rotor is free controlled and creates the least possible loss so as not to intefere with the production of the second. The production is henceforth continually optimized..
Strong wind: The first rotor operates as a generator. This will continue the production at full power while traditional wind systems are switching on safe position.
The nominal power is reached quicker and the production is carried out on a wider wind range. Therefore, the production capacity of the TurboWind Elena related to its size proves itself as exceptional.
Successful integration
This kind of positioning leads to a small, silent and designed machine, flow disturbances being perfectly controlled..
